Lena Blanche depicts the unselfish love a mother has for her baby and Pennyweight Flat is the tragic story that unfolds as a young woman follows her husband to the Victorian goldfields in the early 1850's. Love of objects also plays a part in Back Stairs when a young woman encounters the unforeseen consequences of falling in love with a house. In Whiskey Hole / A Prospector's Tale the love of gold, whiskey and being the centre of attention is the motivation of the 'grizzled old prospector". Wild Foxes speaks of the unbridled love of freedom in our carefree youth, and On the Road represents the way we feel doing what we love: travelling and playing music.
