Tales From The Heart Strings

Moonshine Coalition

When thinking about and choosing a title for this album it occurred to us that the songs were, in one form or another, all about love. Different kinds of love for sure, but love nevertheless.
For a Reason tells of a young couple wanting to be in love whereas Moonlight on the Bay is about the first throes of a budding relationship. Lena Blanche depicts the unselfish love a mother has for her baby and Pennyweight Flat is the tragic story that unfolds as a young woman follows her husband to the Victorian goldfields in the early 1850's. Love of objects also plays a part in Back Stairs when a young woman encounters the unforeseen consequences of falling in love with a house. In Whiskey Hole / A Prospector's Tale the love of gold, whiskey and being the centre of attention is the motivation of the 'grizzled old prospector". Wild Foxes speaks of the unbridled love of freedom in our carefree youth, and On the Road represents the way we feel doing what we love: travelling and playing music.
Tales From The Heart Strings seemed kind of fitting.
